    Snowball Showdown: Christmas Snowball Fight

    Hide behind your snow fort and win the Christmas snowball fight! Pop up to hit cheeky elves before they throw, duck when snowballs fly at you, land bullseyes and Mega Snowballs, topple the Snow King in 30 levels and survive the endless Blizzard.

    How to play Snowball Showdown

    1. Tap Play to start Level 1. You hide behind a snow fort while elves take cover across the field.
    2. Press and hold on the field to stand up and aim (mouse button, or arrow keys and Space). The target circle snaps onto the nearest elf.
    3. Let go to throw. You duck back behind the fort after every throw.
    4. Elves show a red timer before they throw back. While a snowball flies at you, stay down and it splats on your fort instead of costing a heart.
    5. Hit every enemy to clear the level. No hits taken earns three stars, one hit earns two.

    Hold / drag stand up and aim   Release throw and duck   Arrows / WASD + Space aim and throw   P / Esc pause

    Tips and strategy

    • Aim for the head: a Bullseye does extra damage and scores 50% more.
    • Hit an elf while its red timer is filling to interrupt the throw.
    • Hold a little longer for a Mega Snowball. It does triple damage and splashes nearby enemies, perfect for snowmen and the Snow King.
    • Your snowballs can knock incoming ones out of the air for a bonus.
    • Pop gift balloons for power-ups: Triple Throw, three Mega Snowballs, the Big Freeze or Hot Cocoa for an extra heart.
    • Every five hits in a row raise your multiplier, up to x3. A miss or a hit on you resets it.

    Snowball Showdown FAQ

    What enemies are there?

    Elves hide behind snowbanks, gifts, logs, ice blocks and crates. Later come sledding elves, snowmen that take three hits, fast ice elves, shield elves, catapults that lob two snowballs at once, and the Snow King at the end of each arena.

    What is Blizzard mode?

    The endless mode: waves of enemies keep coming and get faster, and the Snow King returns every sixth wave. You have three hearts, and your best score goes on the leaderboard.

    Is Snowball Showdown free?

    Yes. It is free to play in your browser on Popyca, with nothing to download or install and no account needed.

    Can I play Snowball Showdown on my phone?

    Yes. It works on phones, tablets and computers. Tap Play to open it full screen; you can hold your phone upright or sideways.

    Does Snowball Showdown save my progress?
