Soulgear Clash

Pick one of eight anime heroes and battle on a floating sky island: 1v1, or 2v2 and 3v3 with ally bots. Farm creep camps for gold and XP, level up to 15, buy items at your base stall, grab runes, defeat the Oni Lord for a team blessing and reach the K.O. goal first (8, 12 or 15). Lock-on combos, dashes, parries, an ultimate on R and a 20-second Release form. Play against the CPU or online with friends and random players, or jump into a quick 1v1 duel.

How to play Soulgear Clash

  1. Pick one of eight heroes, each with its own weapon and skills: four are open from the start and the others unlock as you level up. Choose the mode (1v1, 2v2 or 3v3: bots fill your team and the enemy team), the opponent level (Easy, Normal or Hard) and press Fight. The first time, a short training shows every control.
  2. You start at your base on the sky island: the fountain heals you, and the item stall sells 10 items (5 basics, each with one upgrade; 4 slots). Tap Buy suggested to get the next item of your hero's build.
  3. Farm the creep camps for gold and XP: eight shade camps along the lanes and two big oni camps at the top and bottom centre. Camps come back after a while and grow stronger with time. You level up to 15; your skills get stronger by themselves and your ultimate unlocks on R at level 5. In team modes, allies near a kill share the XP.
  4. The lock-on targets the nearest enemy. Press Tab (or the target button) to switch between creeps and the rival hero, or H to always lock the hero first. Dash right before a hit for a PERFECT dodge, and raise your guard as a hit lands to PARRY it.
  5. Fighting fills your Release gauge: press F for a 20-second Release form with a cut-in, a shockwave, a heal, faster cooldowns and stronger skills. From 4:00 the Oni Lord waits in the centre pit: watch its red ground marks and beat it for a blessing for your whole team (+20% damage). The first team to the K.O. goal wins (8 in 1v1, 12 in 2v2, 15 in 3v3), or the leader at 10:00; after 8:00 a ring closes in, and a tie goes to overtime, where the next K.O. wins.

Tips and strategy

  • Runes appear on the two pedestals near the centre, marked by a light beam: Haste, Fury (+30% damage), Renewal (a heal) and Surge (+40 gauge). Walk into the ring around one to take it.
  • The enemy fountain burns heroes who come too close, so do not chase your rival into its base.
  • Falling behind on K.O.s gives you more gold, XP and gauge, and a hero on a streak carries a bounty, so a match is never over early.
  • Stuns and roots get weaker when they come one after another, and no single hit can take more than 30% of your health.
  • In 2v2 and 3v3, stay near your allies: you share XP, gang up on lone enemies and take the Oni Lord together.
  • Want a short fight? Quick duel is the classic best-of-3 arena duel.

Can I play against my friends?

Yes. Choose Online, pick 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3 and create a room, then share the code or the link. Each player picks Blue or Red, bots fill the empty slots, and the owner presses Start. Quick match finds random players in about 8-10 seconds; empty slots are filled with bots, marked with a robot icon.

Which hero should I start with?

Ryo and Toma are the easiest: they hit hard up close and clear creep camps quickly. Fuyu and Rook fight from a distance, and Nox and Vela are the trickiest heroes to master.

Is Soulgear Clash free?

Yes. It is free to play in your browser on Popyca, with nothing to download or install and no account needed.

Can I play Soulgear Clash on my phone?

Yes. It works on phones, tablets and computers. Tap Play to open it full screen; you can hold your phone upright or sideways.
