Jelly Sumo

Two wobbly jellies, one floating candy arena. Eat snacks to get heavier, dash into your rival and bump them off the edge while the arena keeps shrinking. Climb an eight-bout tournament, play the computer, or share one device with a friend in 2 Players.

How to play Jelly Sumo

  1. Press and drag anywhere on the screen to move your jelly, like a stick that appears under your thumb. On a computer use WASD or the arrow keys.
  2. Tap to dash straight into your rival. On a computer press Space or Shift. The ring around your jelly is bright when the dash is ready and dim while it recharges.
  3. Eat the snacks on the arena to get heavier. A heavy jelly is hard to push and pushes harder. Golden snacks count triple.
  4. Bump your rival off the edge to win the round. The arena keeps shrinking, so stay away from the rim, and the first jelly to win three rounds wins the bout.
  5. Grab the glowing power-up snacks: super dash, heavy, snack magnet and the shrink ray that makes your rival smaller.
  6. Pick a mode: Tournament has eight opponents on eight different arenas and then a harder Gold Cup, Vs Computer has easy, normal and hard, and 2 Players is for two people on one device.
  7. In 2 Players each of you drags on your own half of the screen (bottom and top on a phone held upright, left and right when it is wide). On a keyboard player one uses WASD with Left Shift, player two the arrows with Right Shift.

Tips and strategy

  • Eat first, fight second: a few snacks make you much harder to push off.
  • Do not dash blindly. A dash needs a moment to recharge, and a missed one leaves you open.
  • Every arena has a trick: ice is slippery, bumpers fling you away, wind gusts come with a warning, and the hot rim of Magma Cupcake melts your weight.
  • Lost a bout? The next try is a little kinder. Coins from every match buy skins and hats in the shop.
  • Watch the slow-motion replay of the winning knockout, then tap to skip it.

Can two people play Jelly Sumo on one phone or computer?

Yes. Choose 2 Players and each player gets half of the screen to drag in, or one side of the keyboard. No second device or internet connection is needed for it.

How many arenas and opponents are there?

Eight arenas, from Pudding Plaza to Tiny Island, and eight tournament opponents, each with their own style. Beat them all to win the crown, then try the harder Gold Cup.

Is Jelly Sumo free?
