Number Match

Number Match

Clear the whole board by pairing numbers that are equal or add up to ten. Tiles connect along rows, columns and diagonals once the space between them is empty. 40 levels, a daily puzzle, stars, hints and a limited plus button.

How to play Number Match

  1. Look at the grid of numbers from one to nine.
  2. Tap one tile, then tap a second tile. If the two numbers are equal, or add up to ten, they disappear.
  3. The tiles must see each other: along a row, a column or a diagonal, with only empty squares in between. The end of a row also connects to the start of the next row.
  4. A row that becomes completely empty is removed and everything slides up.
  5. When no pairs are left, tap the plus button to copy the remaining numbers to the end of the board. You only get a few of them per level.
  6. Clear every tile to win. Keep your plus presses low for three stars.

Tap / click select two tiles   + button repeat the remaining numbers

Tips and strategy

  • Tap a tile to see green frames on every tile it can pair with right now.
  • Clear the first tiles in reading order. Emptying space at the top connects the rest of the board.
  • Pairs of five and five, or one and nine, are easy to miss. Check all the sums to ten.
  • Do not rush to press plus. Look for hidden diagonal pairs first.
  • Stuck? Hint shows a pair that still leads to a solution, or tells you when it is time to press plus.

Number Match FAQ

Is every level solvable?

Yes. Every board was solved by a computer with the same number of plus presses you get, so a full clear is always possible.

What does the plus button do?

It copies all the numbers that are still on the board and adds them after the last tile. Each level allows only a few presses.

Is Number Match free?

Yes. It is free to play in your browser on Popyca, with nothing to download or install and no account needed.

Can I play Number Match on my phone?

Yes. It works on phones, tablets and computers. Tap Play to open it full screen; you can hold your phone upright or sideways.
