Tile Connect

Tile Connect

Link two identical tiles with a path that bends at most twice, and the pair vanishes. Clear the whole board of cute fruit, stars, animals and gems across 40 levels. Daily puzzle, stars, hints and a safe shuffle that never leaves you stuck.

How to play Tile Connect

  1. Look at the board of tiles. Each picture appears at least twice.
  2. Tap a tile to select it, then tap another tile with the same picture.
  3. If you can draw a line between them that turns at most twice and crosses only empty squares, a glowing line appears and both tiles vanish.
  4. The line may run around the outside edge of the board, so tiles on the border are the easiest to clear.
  5. Clear all the tiles to win the level. Every level is made so that a full clear is possible.
  6. Use Hint to see a pair you can connect now, Undo to take a pair back and Shuffle when you run out of moves.

Tips and strategy

  • Start on the outside. Border tiles connect around the edge and open lanes into the middle.
  • Look for pairs that share a row or a column first. Straight lines are the simplest connections.
  • Do not worry about running out of moves. Shuffle deals the remaining tiles again in a way that can always be cleared.
  • Selecting a tile with the same picture but no path gives a small shake. Clear the tiles in between first.
  • Fewer shuffles earn more stars. Three stars need a clear without any shuffle.

What counts as a turn?

Every time the line changes direction it is a turn. A line can have up to two turns, which means up to three straight pieces.

Can the line go outside the board?

Yes. The empty frame around the board counts as free space, so a path can run around the outside.

Is Tile Connect free?

Yes. It is free to play in your browser on Popyca, with nothing to download or install and no account needed.

Can I play Tile Connect on my phone?

Yes. It works on phones, tablets and computers. Tap Play to open it full screen; you can hold your phone upright or sideways.
