Easy games kids can pick up alone

Younger children do best with games they can figure out by tapping and dragging. Pixel Paint, Jigsaw Haven, Color Pour and Bubble Breeze need very little reading and have no countdown to rush them. Older kids can try the sports games Putt Paradise, Hoop Hero and Penalty Kicks, or build their own world in Voxel Vale.

Some of these games teach something too: Flag Master is a flags and capitals quiz, Word Hunt builds spelling and vocabulary, and Type Rush turns typing practice into a race. Every game here is free in the browser with no download and no account, so a child can start playing in seconds.
