Ripple Reel: Fishing

Cast your line into five beautiful spots, from a calm willow lake to a glowing abyss trench, and hook 50 different fish. Each species fights its own way, so keep the tension needle in the green as they dart, dive and leap out of the water. Sell your catch to upgrade your rod, line, reel and bait, chase rare and legendary fish that only come out at night, in the rain or at dawn, battle five giant bosses and fill your Fishdex and aquarium.

How to play Ripple Reel

  1. Hold anywhere to charge your cast and let go when the aiming dots land in the gold ripples.
  2. Let go to let the hook sink and hold to lift it. Each species lives at its own depth, shown in the Fishdex.
  3. When a fish bites, hold to reel and let go to ease off. Keep the needle in the green: too long in the red snaps the line, too much slack lets the fish go.
  4. Sell your catch for coins and spend them in the Shop on a better Rod, Line, Reel and Bait.
  5. Open Spots to unlock Willow Lake, Rapid River, Coral Reef, Frost Lake and Abyss Trench.

Tips and strategy

  • A perfect cast brings faster bites and more rare fish.
  • Let go when a fish leaps out of the water: holding during a jump spikes the tension.
  • Upgrade your Line early: it reaches deeper water and lasts longer in the red zone.
  • Watch the time of day and weather in the top corner. Some rare and legendary fish only appear at night, at dawn and dusk, in rain or in fog.
  • After enough catches at one spot, a boss lurks near the bottom. Bring a strong Rod and Line.

Ripple Reel FAQ

How do I catch legendary fish?

Each spot has one legendary fish that needs the right conditions, like sunshine at Willow Lake or rain at Rapid River. The Fishdex shows its depth and conditions before you catch it, and better Bait raises your luck.

What is the Aquarium?

Every species you catch swims in the Aquarium, one tank per spot. Tap a fish to see its name and record size.

Is Ripple Reel free?

Yes. It is free to play in your browser on Popyca, with nothing to download or install and no account needed.

Can I play Ripple Reel on my phone?

Yes. It works on phones, tablets and computers. Tap Play to open it full screen; you can hold your phone upright or sideways.
