    Lane Leap

    Hop across endless voxel roads, rivers and railways in this bright 3D arcade game. Time your jumps between cars and trucks, ride drifting logs and lily pads, dash over the tracks before the train arrives and never stand still for too long, or the Gloop saucer beams you up. Collect coins to unlock 12 blocky heroes and chase a new best score.

    How to play Lane Leap

    1. Tap or click to hop forward one lane. Swipe left or right to hop sideways and swipe down to hop back. On a computer you can also use the arrow keys or WASD.
    2. Wait for a gap in the traffic, then hop across the road. Cars, vans and trucks drive at different speeds, so check every lane before you jump.
    3. Cross rivers on floating logs and lily pads. Logs carry you with the current, so do not ride one off the edge of the screen. Missing a log means a splash.
    4. When the railway signal flashes red and the bell rings, a train is coming. Stay off the tracks until it has passed.
    5. Keep moving forward. If you wait too long, a flying saucer swoops down and beams you up.

    Tips and strategy

    • Taps are buffered, so you can tap two or three times quickly to dash across a busy road in one go.
    • Watch the next two lanes, not just the one in front of you. A safe road is useless if the lane after it is about to close.
    • On a log you can still hop left and right. Step against the current to stay near the middle of the screen.
    • Trees and rocks block your way on grass. Plan a sideways step early instead of stopping in front of them.
    • Grab coins on the grass and roads, then spend them on new heroes in the Heroes menu.
    • The dashed golden line shows your best score. Hop past it for a celebration and a new record.

    Lane Leap FAQ

    How do I unlock new heroes?

    Collect coins during your runs and open the Heroes menu from the title screen or the pause menu. There are 12 blocky heroes, from Pip to Royal, and each one costs more coins than the last.

    Why did a flying saucer take my hero?

    The saucer comes for heroes who stand still too long. The screen turns red at the bottom and a warning appears first, so hop forward as soon as you see it.

    Is Lane Leap free?

    Yes. It is free to play in your browser on Popyca, with nothing to download or install and no account needed.

    Can I play Lane Leap on my phone?

    Yes. It works on phones, tablets and computers. Tap Play to open it full screen; you can hold your phone upright or sideways.

    Does Lane Leap save my progress?
