    Block Drop

    Block Drop

    Starts in the Classic style with a black well and familiar piece colours. Stack falling blocks, complete rows and watch them burst in showers of light. Spin pieces into tight gaps for T-Spins, chain combos and back-to-back clears while the speed climbs through ten glowing worlds. Play endless Marathon, a 40-line Sprint, the 3-minute Ultra or today's Daily Dig, win medals and unlock six block styles.

    How to play Block Drop

    1. Pick a mode on the title screen, or press Play to start Marathon right away.
    2. Move and rotate the falling piece: on a phone tap to rotate and swipe sideways to move; on a keyboard use the arrows, Up or X to rotate and Z to rotate back.
    3. Flick down (or press Space) to drop the piece at once. Swipe down slowly (or hold Down) for a soft drop.
    4. Swipe up (or press C) to hold a piece for later. NEXT shows the coming five pieces; the ghost outline shows where yours lands.
    5. Fill a whole row to clear it. Every 10 lines the level rises, the speed goes up and a new world appears.

    Tips and strategy

    • Keep one side column empty for the long bar: four rows at once is a Quad, the biggest regular clear.
    • Back-to-Back Quads and T-Spins earn a 50% bonus, and clearing lines with several pieces in a row builds a Combo.
    • If gestures feel slow, open Settings to tune the move delay (DAS), repeat speed (ARR), soft drop speed and swipe sensitivity, or turn on the on-screen buttons.
    • Use Hold to keep the long bar or the T piece for the right moment instead of forcing it into a bad spot.

    Block Drop FAQ

    Does it look like the classic falling-block game?

    Yes. New players start with the Classic style: a black well and the familiar piece colours, with hold, ghost piece and next queue. Open Styles to switch to glossy, neon and other block looks. Your choice is remembered.

    What is a T-Spin?

    Rotate the T piece into a slot covered on top, so at least three corners around its centre are blocked. T-Spin clears score far more and keep your Back-to-Back bonus going.

    What are the four modes?

    Marathon is endless and speeds up every 10 lines. Sprint 40 times how fast you clear 40 lines. Ultra 3:00 is about the highest score in three minutes. Daily Dig gives everyone the same pieces and six stone rows each day. Every mode has bronze, silver and gold medals.

    Is Block Drop free?

    Yes. It is free to play in your browser on Popyca, with nothing to download or install and no account needed.

    Can I play Block Drop on my phone?

    Yes. It works on phones, tablets and computers. Tap Play to open it full screen; you can hold your phone upright or sideways.

    Does Block Drop save my progress?

    Yes, automatically in this browser. It keeps your best scores and Sprint time, medals, Daily Dig streak, unlocked block styles and control settings. Sign in with Google on Popyca to keep your progress in your account and continue on another device.
