Word Spark

Guess the hidden five-letter word in six tries while every tile flips to show which letters are right, misplaced or missing. Solve the Daily word that everyone shares, keep your streak alive, then practise as much as you like in Unlimited. Play in 12 languages with a keyboard made for each alphabet, plus Hard mode and a colour-blind mode.

How to play Word Spark

  1. Type any real five-letter word with the on-screen keyboard or your computer keyboard, then press Enter.
  2. Each tile flips over. Mint means the letter is in the right spot, orange means it is in the word but somewhere else, and dark means it is not in the word at all.
  3. Use those clues for your next guess. You have six tries to find the hidden word.
  4. Daily gives everyone the same word each day and builds your streak. Unlimited starts a fresh word whenever you like.
  5. Tap the language button to pick the word language. Japanese uses four-kana words, and the ゛゜小 key changes the last kana.

Tips and strategy

  • Open with a word that has several different common letters, such as two vowels and a few frequent consonants.
  • An orange letter rules out its current spot. Move it to a new position in the next guess instead of trying the same place again.
  • Letters can repeat. If you are stuck with only a few letters left, try a word that uses one of them twice.
  • Dark keys on the keyboard are gone for this word, so you never waste a guess on them.
  • Turn on Hard mode in Settings when the puzzle feels easy: every revealed hint must be used in later guesses.

Word Spark FAQ

Is there a new word every day?

Yes. The Daily word changes at midnight UTC and is the same for every player in that language. A countdown shows when the next one arrives, and Unlimited is always open.

Can I share my result without spoiling the word?

Yes. After a game, tap Share to copy a grid of coloured squares with your guess count. It shows how you did without revealing any letters.

Is Word Spark free?

Yes. It is free to play in your browser on Popyca, with nothing to download or install and no account needed.

Can I play Word Spark on my phone?

Yes. It works on phones, tablets and computers. Tap Play to open it full screen; you can hold your phone upright or sideways.

Does Word Spark save my progress?

Yes, automatically in this browser. It keeps your statistics, Daily streak, settings and any unfinished Daily or Unlimited board for each language. Sign in with Google on Popyca to keep your progress in your account and continue on another device.
