Crate Shift

Crate Shift

Push every crate onto a red target in the warehouse, but crates can only be pushed, never pulled. Swipe or tap to move, plan ahead and undo as often as you like. 40 levels from a single crate to five, plus a daily puzzle, stars and hints.

How to play Crate Shift

  1. You play the little warehouse worker. Move by swiping, with the arrow keys, or by tapping a square.
  2. Tapping a square that is far away makes the worker walk there along the shortest free route.
  3. Walk into a crate to push it one square. You can only push, never pull, and you can push only one crate at a time.
  4. A crate that stands on a red target turns green and the target flashes.
  5. Get every crate onto a target to finish the level. Fewer moves earn more stars, so plan the order of your pushes.
  6. Undo has no limit, so experiment freely. Hint shows the next few moves of a working solution.

Tips and strategy

  • Never push a crate into a corner unless the corner is a target. It can never come out again.
  • Crates along a wall can only slide along that wall. Think twice before pushing one against it.
  • Solve the crates that are closest to their targets last when they are blocking the aisle.
  • If a crate seems stuck, undo a few moves. Most puzzles can be solved from earlier positions.
  • Par shows the length of a good solution. You get three stars for staying close to it.

Can I pull a crate?

No. Crates can only be pushed. Plan so that each crate ends up where you can reach its other side.

Is every level solvable?

Yes. Every level is built by pulling the crates away from their targets, and a computer solver checked it, so a solution always exists.

Is Crate Shift free?

Yes. It is free to play in your browser on Popyca, with nothing to download or install and no account needed.

Can I play Crate Shift on my phone?
