Pixel Paint: Color by Number

Relax and color over 200 original pixel pictures by number: cute animals, sweets, smileys, nature scenes, vehicles, fantasy treasures, holidays and famous places from Istanbul to Paris. Tap or drag to fill each numbered cell, use the fill bucket and magic wand when you want a shortcut, and watch a timelapse of your painting when you finish. A new daily picture waits every day, and your finished art goes to a gallery you can download as PNG.

How to play Pixel Paint

  1. Open the Daily picture or tap any picture in a pack.
  2. Pick a color in the palette at the bottom: every cell with that number turns a little darker.
  3. Tap a numbered cell to paint it, or drag across the cells to paint a whole row at once.
  4. Pinch or scroll to zoom in until the numbers appear, and drag on other cells to move the picture.
  5. Finish every color to complete the picture and watch the timelapse of your painting.

Tips and strategy

  • Start with the color that has the most cells: one long drag fills a whole stripe.
  • Lost a single cell? Press the magnifier button to jump straight to the next missing one.
  • Keep the Fill bucket for big areas like skies and seas, and use the Magic wand to finish a color in one go.
  • A wrong tap only leaves a pale tint with a red number, so just paint over it with the right color.
  • Paint the Daily picture every day to grow your streak and earn a free Magic wand.

Pixel Paint FAQ

How do I get more fill buckets and magic wands?

Every finished picture gives you a Fill bucket and every Daily picture a Magic wand. Each new day your stock is also topped up to at least three buckets and two wands.

Can I keep the pictures I painted?

Yes. Finished pictures hang in the Gallery, where you can replay the timelapse, paint them again or press Download PNG to save a sharp copy.

Is Pixel Paint free?

Yes. It is free to play in your browser on Popyca, with nothing to download or install and no account needed.

Can I play Pixel Paint on my phone?

Yes. It works on phones, tablets and computers. Tap Play to open it full screen; you can hold your phone upright or sideways.

Does Pixel Paint save my progress?

Yes, automatically in this browser. It keeps your finished pictures, every picture you have started, your fill buckets and magic wands, and your daily streak. Sign in with Google on Popyca to keep your progress in your account and continue on another device.
