Color Flood

Color Flood

Flood the whole board with one colour! Start in the top-left corner, pick a colour and watch the wave swallow every touching tile of that colour. Beat the move limit across 40 levels with a daily puzzle, stars and a smart hint.

How to play Color Flood

  1. Your flooded area starts at the star in the top-left corner. It is outlined in white.
  2. Tap one of the colour buttons below the board, or tap any tile, to turn your whole area into that colour.
  3. Every touching tile of the new colour joins your area, so it grows with a ripple.
  4. Keep picking colours until the entire board has the same colour.
  5. You must finish before the move counter runs out. The counter shows the limit and the number of moves needed for three stars.
  6. Undo takes back a move. Hint shows the next colour of a short solution.

Tips and strategy

  • Before each move, look for the colour that touches the most tiles of your area, not only the biggest blob.
  • Clear small isolated patches early. They cost an extra move if you leave them for the end.
  • Think about the corners far from the start. Plan a path of colours that reaches them in a straight line.
  • The star shows where the flood begins. Everything flows from that one tile.
  • Three stars need the same number of moves as the computer solution, so try a level again if you are one move over.

Is there always a solution?

Yes. The computer solves every board first and the move limit is always a little higher than its solution.

What is a good number of moves?

The counter on screen shows the number for three stars. Two stars need one more move.
