Pulse Dash

Tap to the beat in this neon rhythm runner! Your neon ball races through twelve hand-made levels where every spike, block and orb sits on the music, so each jump lands on a kick drum. Flip gravity, pilot the ship through tight gaps, hit speed portals, hunt three hidden stars per level and unlock new icons and colours.

How to play Pulse Dash

  1. Your neon ball runs to the right on its own. Tap, click or press Space (or Up) to jump over spikes and onto blocks.
  2. Hold to keep jumping: the ball jumps again the moment it lands, perfect for rows of spikes.
  3. Yellow and blue rings are orbs. Tap while touching one to bounce in mid-air; a blue orb also flips gravity. Pads on the ground launch you by themselves.
  4. Arrow portals flip gravity, the pink portal turns you into a ship (hold to rise, let go to dive), the green one turns you back into a ball and chevron portals change your speed.
  5. Reach 100% to clear the level. Touching a spike or the side of a block ends the run, and the next attempt starts at once.

Tips and strategy

  • Listen to the music. Obstacles are placed so that a jump on the kick drum clears them, so tapping on the beat is usually right.
  • Learn hard levels in Practice mode: you restart from the last green diamond you passed, and the music picks up from the same moment.
  • In the ship, use short taps instead of long holds to stay in the middle of the gap.
  • After a gravity portal you run on the ceiling and jump down, so look for spikes hanging from above.

Pulse Dash FAQ

How many levels are there?

There are 12 levels, from Neon Steps (Easy) to Hyperpulse (Extreme), each with its own colours, tempo and music. Later levels add the ship, gravity flips, blue orbs and faster speed portals.

How do I unlock new icons and colours?

Open Icons on the title screen. Icons unlock with hidden stars, colours with levels cleared in Normal mode. Clearing a level in Practice also opens the next level.

Is Pulse Dash free?

Yes. It is free to play in your browser on Popyca, with nothing to download or install and no account needed.

Can I play Pulse Dash on my phone?

Yes. It works on phones, tablets and computers. Tap Play to open it full screen; you can hold your phone upright or sideways.

Does Pulse Dash save my progress?

Yes, automatically in this browser. It keeps your best percent in both modes, cleared levels, found stars, attempts and your icon and colour. Sign in with Google on Popyca to keep your progress in your account and continue on another device.
