Derby Smash

Smash bot cars in five wild arenas until yours is the last one standing. Use nitro, ramps and hazards, win King of the Hill and Frenzy rounds, beat the bosses, and spend your coins in the garage on nine upgradeable cars.

How to play Derby Smash

  1. Drive with WASD or the arrow keys on a keyboard, or drag the stick on a phone. Your first target waits just ahead, so start ramming right away.
  2. Hit other cars hard to damage them. Dents, loose panels and sparks show how much health each car has left.
  3. Hold Space or the Nitro button for a burst of speed, then use ramps, bumpers and jumps to slam into rivals from the side.
  4. Be the last car standing to win the round and earn coins. Watch out for oil, spikes, ice holes, lava, fire vents and the edge of the arena.
  5. Spend coins in the garage on armor, ram, speed and nitro upgrades, or buy a new car. Winning unlocks new arenas and modes such as King of the Hill and Frenzy.

Tips and strategy

  • Hit rivals from the side or from behind to do more damage than a head-on crash.
  • Save nitro for a final charge instead of wasting it at the start of the round.
  • Stay away from the edge. A hard hit near a drop can end your round.
  • Every few rounds a boss car arrives with lots of health. Upgrade armor and ram before you face it.

Derby Smash FAQ

How many cars and arenas are there?

There are nine cars with upgrades and five arenas: Dust Bowl, Scrapyard, Frost Rink, Lava Foundry and Sky Deck. Winning in one arena unlocks the next.

What are King of the Hill and Frenzy?

King of the Hill asks you to hold a glowing zone while you fight, and Frenzy throws a crowd of bots at you at once. Both unlock as you play.

Is Derby Smash free?
