Strike Alley

Strike Alley

Swipe the ball up a glossy, pseudo-3D lane and curve your flick to hook it into the pocket. Strike Alley has full 10-frame scoring, solo games, three computer levels, pass-and-play for up to four, eight unlockable balls and big strike and spare celebrations.

How to play Strike Alley

  1. Press Play for a solo game, pick Easy, Normal or Hard to bowl against the computer, or choose 2, 3 or 4 players to pass and play on one device.
  2. Touch or click the lane and drag sideways to place the ball on the foul line.
  3. Flick upward to roll. A dotted guide shows the path, and a faster flick sends the ball faster.
  4. Bend the end of your swipe left or right to hook the ball. On a keyboard use the arrows to move, A and D to aim, Q and E to curve, and hold then release Space to throw.
  5. Knock down ten pins in ten frames with two balls each. The scorecard button at the bottom left shows every frame, and the highest score wins.

Tips and strategy

  • Come in from the side at a slight angle so the ball hits the pocket between the first and third pin. A dead-straight shot often leaves pins standing.
  • Use the hook: start on one side of the lane and curve the swipe back toward the middle.
  • On your second ball, aim at the pins still standing and check the dotted guide first.
  • A strike scores ten plus your next two balls, a spare ten plus your next one. Three strikes in a row is a turkey.
  • Learn the swipe on Easy, then try Hard, where the computer hooks into the pocket again and again.

How do I make the ball curve?

Finish your swipe with a bend left or right. The dotted guide shows the hook before you let go.

Which balls can I unlock?

Eight balls unlock as you play games, bowl strikes, reach 100 and 200 points, and beat the computer on Normal or Hard. Open Balls on the title screen to choose one.

Is Strike Alley free?

Yes. It is free to play in your browser on Popyca, with nothing to download or install and no account needed.

Can I play Strike Alley on my phone?

Yes. It works on phones, tablets and computers. Tap Play to open it full screen; you can hold your phone upright or sideways.

Does Strike Alley save my progress?

Yes, automatically in this browser. It keeps your best score, your stats, the balls you unlocked and the ball you picked. Sign in with Google on Popyca to keep your progress in your account and continue on another device.
