    Horde Hunter

    Hold your ground against hundreds of goblins, skeletons, orcs and dragons while your weapons fire on their own. Clear 30 waves, beat a boss every fifth wave and evolve or mutate your weapons into storms of fire, ice and lightning. Spend your gold on new heroes, weapons and permanent upgrades.

    How to play Horde Hunter

    1. Pick a hero and a map. Each of the 13 heroes starts with its own weapon and bonus. You also start with the passive that evolves that weapon.
    2. Move with WASD, the arrow keys or by dragging anywhere on the screen. Your weapons attack on their own.
    3. Collect gems to level up and choose an upgrade: a new weapon, a weapon level, a passive item, a stat shard or now and then a pact.
    4. Clear wave after wave: each wave has a fixed number of monsters and ends when the last one falls, then a short rest follows. Every fifth wave is a boss wave in an arena; the final boss waits on wave 30, and after it Endless mode opens.
    5. Gold from every run buys heroes, Armory weapons and permanent upgrades.

    Tips and strategy

    • Every wave only ends when its last monster is down, and the wave counter shows how many are left. Stragglers run straight at you, so you can hold your ground or keep moving, whatever suits your build.
    • A weapon at level 5 evolves with its matching passive (gold card) or mutates with a second one (purple card). Fireball plus Wide Rune becomes Meteor Rain; Fireball plus Ember Core becomes Inferno.
    • Evolved weapons keep growing with star cards, and stat shards keep making you stronger once everything else is maxed.
    • Many waves have a modifier: in Storm Ring stay inside the safe circle, in Meteor Shower step out of the red circles.
    • Use Banish on cards you never want, and Reroll or Skip when nothing fits your build.

    Horde Hunter FAQ

    How do I unlock new heroes and maps?

    Heroes cost gold from your runs; the Necromancer also needs wave 10, the Warlock wave 15, the Windwalker wave 20 and the Reaper a won run. Win Green Meadow (or reach wave 20 there) to unlock Gloom Graveyard, then Frost Peaks.

    Do I need to aim or shoot?

    No. Weapons fire automatically at nearby monsters. You only move and choose upgrades, with the number keys or by tapping.

    Is there a daily challenge?

    Yes. The Daily Challenge gives every player the same hero, map, second weapon and pact each day, even a hero you have not unlocked yet. Reach wave 10 for bonus gold, and clear it on the following days to build a streak that raises the bonus.

    Is Horde Hunter free?

    Yes. It is free to play in your browser on Popyca, with nothing to download or install and no account needed.

    Can I play Horde Hunter on my phone?

    Yes. It works on phones, tablets and computers. Tap Play to open it full screen; you can hold your phone upright or sideways.

    Does Horde Hunter save my progress?

    Yes, automatically in this browser. It keeps your gold, heroes, Armory weapons, permanent upgrades, unlocked maps, stars and best waves. Sign in with Google on Popyca to keep your progress in your account and continue on another device.
