Draw 3 is the traditional way to play Klondike. You turn over three cards at a time and only the top card of the fan can be played, so what you can reach depends on how the deck cycles.
Tap the deck to deal three cards onto the waste. Only the top one is playable. When it leaves, the card beneath it becomes available.
When the stock runs out, turn the waste over and go through it again. The cards return in the same order, but which ones land on top changes with every card you have played in between.
Build the seven columns downward in alternating colours and send each suit up from Ace to King on the foundations.
Win by moving all 52 cards to the foundations.
Tips and strategy
On the first pass the 3rd, 6th, 9th card and so on land on top. Count in threes to see what you can reach.
Playing a card from the waste shifts every later group by one. Sometimes the best move is to leave a card alone so the next pass lines up better.
Turn on Winnable deals only in Options if you want every deal to be solvable, then focus on finding the route.
Winning a Draw 3 game also counts toward a trophy. For an easier warm-up, see Draw 1.
Solitaire Draw 3 Cards FAQ
Is Draw 3 harder to win than Draw 1?
Yes. Many deals that are easy with Draw 1 get blocked in Draw 3, and even strong players lose a fair share. The Winnable deals option, on by default, gives solver-checked deals so each game can be won.
Does Draw 3 have its own stats?
Yes. Draw 3 keeps its own win rate, streak and best score, so your results stay comparable. You can switch back to Draw 1 any time in Options.
